Where can I find size charts and sizing information?
Size charts are available on most product pages for items that require sizing, usually within the product description. Because sizing and fit can vary between brands and styles, always use the chart shown on the page for the exact product you are considering.
Important: Our product pages may show either body measurements or garment measurements. These are measured differently and should not be compared directly.
How Do I Know Which Type of Size Chart I Am Viewing?
If the chart lists chest or bust, waist, hips or similar measurement ranges, it is generally a body measurement chart. Measure around your body with a flexible measuring tape.
If the chart lists body length, body width or chest width, it is generally a garment measurement chart. Measure a similar garment while it is laid flat.
Please note: In a garment chart, the term “body width” refers to the width of the shirt itself, not the circumference of the person wearing it.
Body Measurements
Body measurement charts show the body measurements that each size is designed to fit. Stormtech uses this type of chart. Other brands may also use body measurements, so check the labels and measuring instructions on the specific product page before choosing a size.

How to take body measurements:
- Chest or bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, just under the armpits.
- Waist: Measure around the narrowest point of your waistline.
- Hips: Measure around the widest part of your body below the waistline.
- Sleeve length: With your elbow slightly bent, measure from the base of your neck, across your shoulder to your elbow, and finish at your wrist bone.

Garment Measurements
Garment measurement charts show the dimensions of the finished item. To use one, lay a similar garment that fits you well on a smooth surface without stretching it, then compare its measurements with the product chart.

How to measure a garment:
- Body length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder or collar down to the bottom hem.
- Body width: Measure straight across the garment from side to side, usually about one inch below the armholes. This is a one-way, laid-flat measurement. Do not measure around the shirt.
- Sleeve length: Follow the method stated on the product chart. Depending on the brand, it may be measured from the centre back of the neck or from the shoulder seam.
Garment measurements are approximate, and normal manufacturing tolerances may apply. If you compare against a garment that has been washed, remember that it may have shrunk over time.

What If I Am Between Sizes?
Review the product's fit description, such as slim, active, relaxed or classic fit. If you plan to wear layers underneath, you may prefer the larger size. When using a garment measurement chart, comparing it with a similar item that fits you well is usually the most reliable method.
What Is a Classic Fit?
A classic fit generally has a straight, comfortable cut with more room through the chest and waist than a slim or fitted style. Fit can still vary by brand and product, so use the product-specific size chart whenever one is available.
How Do Youth Sizes Compare With Age?
Youth sizes cannot be accurately matched to a specific age because children of the same age may have very different measurements. Use the product-specific size chart and compare it with the child's body measurements or a similar garment that fits well.
What If a Product Does Not Have a Size Chart?
Some accessories and one-size items may not require a chart. If sizing matters and no chart is shown, please contact us with the product name or SKU before ordering.
